Sorry you can't get to the link. Its a story from the San Jose Mercury News. The older gentleman with dementia was found 10 days after he went missing. He was in a creek behind a restaurant about 6 miles from where he disappeared. What is even freakier, he is the grandfather of one of my neighbors who I say "hello" to on a regular basis an I didn't know until last week.
I've always been fascinated with how other people live. That natural curiosity led me to a very useless degree in Anthropology. Seeing as how I would never go on a dig or live amongst the Pygmies, I study my favorite primates: the naked chimps right in my own backyard. That backyard has changed several times over the years: Miami, Atlanta, Chicago, back to Atlanta, The Virgin Islands, and now San Jose, CA. After roaming hither and yond, I finally landed in Northern California in 2003 and haven't looked back. Mom and Dad...you said I'd never use my bachelors degree. Hah!
